Well it looks like it’s all but guaranteed that I’ll Have Another will win the Triple Crown this Saturday at The Belmont.
Sportswriter(?) Norman Chad has declared that it won’t happen so in my book that makes it a virtual lock.
On why it won’t happen, Chad states…
“They must race on three tracks in three states, in a compressed time period. And the final challenge — the Belmont — is the farthest they’ll ever run.”
These of course are the reasons why winning the Triple Crown is possibly the hardest thing to do in sports.
For The Couch Slouch’s complete, somewhat amusing, take on the upcoming race, read Norman Chad’s Triple Crown article in the Washington Post.
