The 145th running of the Belmont Stakes ended with a different winner for each leg of the 2013 Triple Crown races.
13-1 shot Palace Malice ridden by 47 year old jockey Mike Smith topped the 14 horse field in Elmont, New York.
Once Palace Malice passed Oxbow the race was never close. Orb made a late charge to take 3rd but was never in contention.
